Statement of Solidarity
Yemeni intellectuals announced joining their voices with that of Representative Ahmed Seif Hashid to condemn the direction of the Sana’a authorities through the parliament to drop the membership of 45 deputies in the parliament. Demanding parliament to entrench itself in the homeland and not be a shadow of the parties to the conflict.
The statement stated the following:
The brave parliamentarian Ahmed Seif Hashid says in his post:
You are negotiating and you want the House of Representatives to drop the membership of forty-five members.. The de facto authority in Sanaa wants to eat garlic in the mouth of the House of Representatives..
We join our voices to the free and courageous parliamentarian Ahmed Seif Hashid in condemning this arrogance of thought and this deliberate insult to the function of the House of Representatives. We want all parliamentarians to have courageous initiatives to get the country out of its current crisis. And the ability to devise courageous solutions to the nation’s problems.
We strongly condemn all forms of exclusion and the abolition of the other in the north, south, east and west of the country
